Siemens iQ500 Induction Hob with Integrated Ventilation
ED777HQ26E, 70 cm, surface-mount with frame
P.O.APrice on application — every exceptional kitchen begins with a conversation
A 70 cm induction surface with extraction drawn down through its centre — the hood removed from the sightline entirely. Vapour is captured at the pan, before it ever reaches the room.
- 70 cm induction surface with integrated downdraft extraction
- combiZone links zones for large pans, griddles and roasters
- powerMove — three preset heat levels across the surface
- Quiet extraction, configurable ducted or recirculating
- touchSlider precise control and timed cooking
- Wipe-clean single plane of black glass
The ED777HQ26E collapses two appliances into one uninterrupted plane of black glass: a full induction cooking surface and a downdraft extractor that pulls steam and vapour down through a central intake, exactly where it is generated. For an island or a kitchen that opens onto living space, it removes the canopy hood from the room — and with it, the visual weight that hoods impose over a beautiful island.
As a cooking surface it is uncompromised. Induction zones respond instantly and can be bridged with combiZone to host large pans or a griddle, while powerMove assigns three heat levels across the surface so a pan is moved rather than re-dialled. The integrated extraction runs quietly and can be configured for recirculation or ducted exhaust depending on the architecture.
Because extraction is designed into the slab, the decision belongs at planning stage — plinth or floor ducting is trivial on the drawings and painful afterwards. Specified early, it delivers a cooking zone of genuine serenity: clear air, clean lines, nothing overhead.
Engineering
- Capture at source
- Vapour is drawn down at the pan before it rises, so it never crosses the cook's face or clouds the room — more effective than an overhead hood at the same power.
- One uninterrupted surface
- Cooking and extraction share a single sheet of black glass flush with the worktop; there is nothing above the island to interrupt the sightline.
- combiZone flexibility
- Adjacent zones bridge into one large area, hosting oversized cookware or a teppanyaki plate without compromise.
Finishes & materials
- Black glasssurface-mount with a fine stainless frame
Designed for
- An island in an open-plan kitchen with no overhead hood
- Low-ceiling apartments where a canopy would dominate
- Sightline-critical kitchens opening onto living space
